BRRRRR
It was minus thirty out and I couldn't find the dog. Panic set in as I pictured him curled up in a ball frozen to death on our doorsteps after a night outside. Running around the house like crazy and getting Mike out of bed to help look. Finally we located him under the blankets with thomas fast asleep. Litterily under the blankets. I guess I do love him even though he has now chewed through two pairs of my glasses!!!

Another Snnow Day
Remember how exciting it was to have a snow day? So excited that there was no falling back asleep? I wish it were still that simple sometimes. Most times when school is cancelled, the base goes down to essential staff only, so there is no one here but my kids. However today, this did not happen. Eight kids all together which is not bad. When Micah got up, the first thing I said to him was there was to be NO FRIENDS over today as we already had a houseful. And now most of them are outside playing. Love it. Funny how the cold is forgotten when there is snow on the ground and some mysterious animal lurking about. (Don't ask 'cause I don't know). :)

Snow Day almost
Why is it when school is cancelled (which I KNEW would happen) or there is none or whatever, that every kid in the neighborhood decides that my house is the place to congregate? I used to think that at least I knew what they were doing. Now I think that they should congregate elswhere one in a while!!!!!
I also was babysitting three kids, plus my own, plus four drop-ins. This adds up to insanity ruling.
The dog also decided that my new glasses were a delisiouce treat in the middle of the night and acually got a big hole in one of the lenses. Back to my old ones that are a different perscription. YIKES. He is lucky to be alive as this is my second pair he chewed and Micahs as well. I swear he can reach wherever we put them.
Anyone want a dog?
Of course, Mike would kill me. :)
Anyone want a dog? It would be almost worth it.

The wonderful word of "NO"
Yes, we have a new word in the house. Alyssa who doesn't seem very interested in talking, has discovered "NO". Just wish she knew which context to use it in all the time.
"Do you want some juice?"
"No" as she is taking the cup and taking a drink.
"Do you have to pee?"
"NO" Of course her pull-up is now full and she is running around happy. Heaven forbid you stop playing to do something as trivial as use the bathroom.
However she does mean it whe I ask her if she wants anything healthy. The joys...
And I love her too death so really it's all good.

Way to go!!!!
Well, what a busy weekend! Thr fitst annual Peewee AA tournament was hosted in Middleton, and to our surprise, the boys came away with the silver medal. Which may not seem like that big a deal, but when they came in last every other tournament and had a way too long losing steak, this was special. All the boys played exceptionally well, and played together like a team. Like we knew that they could. It was outstanding.

Potty Training
Decided to start trying to potty train Alyssa again. So, I went to Walmart and we let her pick out her own potty. She picked a Dora the Explorer one. Well... she loves to sit on that thing. It has not even been a week, and she tells me all the time when she has to TEE... that is pee in Alyssa language. Mommy tee, mommy tee. she of course tells me this even when she doesn't have to but, just in case, off we go. I have never see a baby pee so much in my life! At least fifteen time today, for real and then four accidents. That is not including when I put her down for a nap and forgot to put a pull up on her. My bad on that one.
Anyways, she is doing wonderfully. No she just has to realize that she doesn't have to sit on the potty every time she has to fart!!!! :)
