Another day, another dollar?

Does the whole wednesday thing mean that you get to take a day off, or that you should really clean your house? I want the day off. Every time I turn around, there is toys in my "no toy" zone, more laundry to do, and dishes galore. I am just scared that if I stop today, the work tommorow would be far too great. Course, I could stop blogging, and get to work, but...

ARGH!!!!!!!

What a morning! It started pretty good at seven thirty with the dog coming to wake me up. Alyssa slept from eight to eight which was great. Thomas had hockey at eight forty-five, andso off we were. I decided to take the van and let Mike take the car and than trade when he took Micah to Canning. Turns out, Thomas' practice was in Kingston. This I found out after taking him to Greenwood. Call Mike he says its in Kingston( would have been nice to know beforehand). AND HIS PRACTICE IS TWO HOURS LONG!!!! So cold.
ANyhow, Mike comes to take the van, and is gone for about five minutes before I realize he did not pass me the keys to the car. Can I just say that it is a good thing I am friendly and know quite a few people. One man drove us home, while another lady loaned us her car seat for Alyssa. Because who knows where the extra set of car keys are. Not me.
Morale of the story. If you want something done right, get up earlier, plan ahead, and don't ever trust your husband to give you all the info or the keys.

CAN YOU GUESS?

Guess where we are, and do you think Alyssa's tired of it yet? Only seven more months to go!!

A Sweet Sleep

So, I always knew that Alyssa liked to sleep. But the most amazing thing has happened. The other night around 8:30, Michael said, "Alyssa, time for bed". She got up kissed her father, took my hand, led me to her crib, and tried to climb in!!!! I know... my boys were never like that. I think they screamed "NO".

So then last night, we were out late grocery shopping, and after we got home and I changed her into her jammies, I thought she might like to play for a couple of minutes. Nope, she got up waved for daddy to come here, and showed him her crib to put her in. Right to sleep like a little angel. AHHHHH finally a good child to put to bed.( thomas is sitting here reading this as I type, so I have to rub it in a little bit. hahaha...

These are pictures that my wonderful sister gave to me for my birthday. She saved to a cd every pic she has taken of me and my family since getting her camera. Over 2 hundred I would say. What A GREAT present. Along with a photo album of ones that she had done off. These are some great shots of my kids and the one of my whole family.

Kathy

This is Kathy in her tan cams, and outside the camp. She called and is doing fine. Looking really skinny, but that comes with eating everything out of a box. She is with her friend Joe.
It's another beautiful day here in Greenwood and for that we can be thankful. I am thankful because I left my laundry out on the line last night and now they can dry again from the semi-frost we had last night. Also Thomas has a race today in Middleton and it is always nice to have great weather for that.
Alyssa and Nick are acually starting to play together now which is nice. She doesn't really want to share her toys, but she does because I force her too. Luckily, he wants to play with mostly cars and trucks and the such. But it is kind of cute to see them chasing each other around and laughing. It took almost a month to get to this.
Anyhoo, off to bake some cookies and such.

Things to give thanks for

Taking a hint from others...

Although it is a dreary day with the rain and such, I can be thankful for.

1. A roof over my head, ( and a nice roof at that)
2. A dryer to dry my clothes in
3. A full well so that I can do laundry
4. Raincoats so that my kids don't get wet on the way to school.
5. Nice furry blankets to curl up on the couch with and read.
6. The Bible for something good to read.

Happy Sunday

For the first Sunday in a long time there is no hockey. This is soooo great, but the bad thing is that it is only October 1st. So what to do. Take a nap, watch some football which I love and relax. Oh yes and change the living room around, but I can't get it the way I want it. Help!
And it is not my birthday! That would be the 7th. I refuse to turn thirty before I absolutely have to. And that is not until 11:45, Saturday morning. Honestly, where has the time gone. Not that I would want to do it again for anything. There has been important lessons learned, that I would no want to do all over again. Getting through the first five years of marriage for one thing. YIKES. God is good and we are still together and acually still love each other. Most of the time. :)
